The Nippon Suiseki Association sponsors two large exhibitions every year, which are open to the public free of charge. The first of these is the Nippon Suiseki Meihinten, usually held in early summer, and the next is the Nippon Suiseki Sogoten, which is held later in the summer. All members of the Nippon Suiseki Association are welcome to display their suiseki at both of these exhibitions, though suiseki submitted for entry will first have to pass a judging committee’s inspection.
